Welcome to Lhotse Face
Lhotse (lot sAy) is the fourth highest mountain in the world at 27,939 feet. Its long
east-west crest is located immediately south of
Mount Everest and the summits of
the two mountains are connected by the South Col, a vertical ridge that never
drops below 8,000 meters. Lhotse is sometimes mistakenly identified as the south
peak of the Everest massif. No serious attention was turned to climbing Lhotse
until after Everest had finally been ascended. Lhotse was first climbed in 1956
as an alternative route to the summit of Everest.

2008 - Samoyed Club of America National Specialty Show, Lhotse and Chamonix are 4th in Brace Competition.
2009 Barbary Coast Samoyed Club - Best in Veteran Sweeps, Best Veteran, Best of Opposite Sex, Best in Brace - big day for our 8 1/2 year old!
2009 - Lhotse earned her Rally Novice title, with a 1st place at her last leg. Lhotse also earned her Working Samoyed title in Therapy and Pack Hikes.
2010 Barbary Coast Samoyed Club - Best Veteran, Award of Merit, Best in Brace. Lhotse continues to have fun in the ring!
